N2 - The article discusses Philistine iconography and figurative material culture in Philistia during the Iron Age. The primary archaeological evidence is surveyed, high-lighting significant human, zoomorphic, and vegetative motifs. The different traditions and sources reflected by the figurative objects are also discussed. In addition, the archaeological contexts of these objects are surveyed, whether domestic, public, or related to temples or other contexts. Finally, various aspects related to the nature of the Philistine society will be evaluated according to the figurative material culture.
