Abstract

The ubiquitous photodiode can be regarded as an optoelectronic sensor possessing huge, voltage-tunable chromatic dispersion, with on-chip optical sensing capabilities. We summarize recent experimental results demonstrating wavelength monitoring, material spectral sensing and spectrum reconstruction.
