Abstract

THz Up-conversion imaging system based on 1.55 μm fiber laser is suggested in this paper. This system is composed of two 1.55 μm wavelength fiber lasers, photomixer, GaAs crystal and InGaAs detector. The two 1.55 μm beams and the THz radiation that was generated by the two 1.55 μm lasers, using a photomixer, propagate coaxially through the GaAs crystal which act as electro optic sampler in a crossed polarized setup. The detection of the 1.55 μm after the influence of the THz electric field is carried out using InGaAs detector and sensitive transimpedance amplifier. The image of the THz spot is obtained by scanning the focal plane.
