Abstract
The Caucasus mountain Jews are considered to be one of the Oldest jewish Communities, yet until today they have managed to remain a United and distinct Social group. Scholars have thoroughly Investigated this community and deeply analyzed its Juhuri culture; Our Research, however, takes a different approach. We analyze data by utilizing tools of sociology and political science, mainly From the field of social capital. Thus, we establish a comparative approach that enables revealing the hidden mechanisms with which a social group can survive and succeed. Drawing on qualitative in-depth Interviews in the Jewish Azerbaijani Community in Israel, our paper aims to decode a general social apparatus as well as particular traits of the Juhuri.
