Abstract

In the work, we address a relation between segments overlapping in Welch periodograms and F-ratio, which is used in the problem of statistical identification of signals. We show that the F-ratio increases with the overlapping that gives a better identification of signals. The obtained results are illustrated by the application of the method to speech signals identification.
