Abstract

The increasing body of evidence of the involvement of NiIII species in a number of enzymes is the reason for the special attention on the redox chemistry of nickel. This review deals with the redox chemistry of nickel in aqueous solutions. The relevance of this topics to the industrial-environmental as well as bioinorganic (enzymes) issues is emphasized.
