Abstract

This paper examines the performance of a BPSK channel in the presence of a pulse jammer and a background noise. The performance of the channel is examined by calculating its cutoff rate when the receiver knows the channel's state and when it doesn't know it. In the second case the performance is also examined in the case when the receiver doesn't know or partially knows the jammer's parameters (power density and duty cycle). For each one of the cases several receivers which use different metrics are examined. An optimization is done if necessary on the metrics' parameters and the performance is examined in different states of jamming.
