Abstract

Strong induced absorption is reported in KI-Tl** plus crystals in a wide range of the spectrum upon excitation with intense ultraviolet laser radiation into the A band. The processes of annihilation of induced color centers are investigated and the ionization of the Tl** plus ions is considered.
