Abstract
Research conducted for the Survey of Israel has resulted in development of a prototype on-line expert system to assist and speed up the cadastral and land registration processes in the State of Israel. This paper will provide some background on expert system technology and how it was used for the cadastral process. The paper describes the implementation process and technical aspects in the construction of the system. Finally, the paper briefly discusses the future possibilities and challenges when using this technology in the cadastral process.
