Abstract

Nonlinear optical properties of alternant carbon cluster C48 are calculated and discussed. The dispersion of 2-nd hyperpolarizabilities for the 3-rd harmonic generation and 2-nd harmonic generation in presence of a static field is determined by two low lying poles connected with two two-photon allowed transitions in the absorbtion spectrum of C48.
