Abstract
This article presents experimental results and performance analysis of a non-coherent detector for a Generalized Tamed Frequency Modulation (GTFM) Signal. An improved detector type for the GTFM signal is introduced, consisting of a limiterdiscriminator, integrate and dump circuit and detector with four-level decision feedback. The receiver performance in gausian noise shows approximately a 0.6 dB improvement compared to the iit-by-bit detection described by Chung. Adjacent channel interference with and without noise was investigated, with up to 40 dB power difference between signals.
