Abstract
Polarization in iron-carbon-sulphur melts was examined at the boundary with slag containing 51%Al//2O//3, 43%CaO, and 6%MgO. The carbon and sulphur contents of the steel varied from 0. 5 to 3. 0% and 0. 02 to 0. 75%, respectively. Transfer of sulphur through the metal/slag interface was retarded. The kinetic parameters were determined.
