Abstract
This entry discusses Jewish theological principles about mass media behavior. As a moral code regulating man's relationship with his fellow man, and man's relationship with God, the Torah proposes a code of norms regulating aspects of mass media behavior—most prominent being the principle of the right to know. The entry also examines how different religious streams within Judaism today interpret these teachings, and how Orthodox streams inside Israel have created their own alternative media—offering a laboratory for the practical application of their interpretation of Jewish media ethics.
