Abstract
The importance of seismic performability study of reinforced concrete (RC) structures is discussed. The seismic performability study is important in the further development of the RC element's seismoresistance theory. Besides the stress-strain evaluation of the RC structure, the dissipation energy design must also be carried out. The important factors that influence the section energy dissipation include over-reinforcing, symmetric reinforcement and gravitational stresses. The design procedure of the seismic performability of the RC structures is also presented.
