Abstract

Foot-controlled arm traction, combined with scapular manipulation, is a modification of previously described methods of reducing a dislocated shoulder. We have found this method to be easy to accomplish, from both the physician's and the patient's perspective. The complications associated with this technique are minimal. This method is considered to be the technique of choice in treatment of a dislocated shoulder.
