Abstract
The infrared emission and photostimulated luminescence under excitation in F‐absorption band are investigated in KCl–Tl crystals coloured by X‐ray or by KrF‐laser pulses at 12 or at 290 K. Basing on the concentration, temperature, kinetic, and spectral dependences of these emissions, it is proposed that the main part of the F‐centres is created at distances smaller than 12a from Tl+ and Tl2+ ions.
