N2 - This work describes fast parallel acquisition techniques and architectures for Direct-Sequence Spread-Spectrum Systems and their performance as a part of fast acquisition CDMA receiver for burst transmission system. New architectures are presented, showing design tradeoffs. The architectures evaluation is based on the acquisition success probability in a short finite time instead of evaluating the traditional average acquisition time measure. All architectures use parallel processing with sequence matched filters and partial sequence matched filters, and FFT algorithm.
