Abstract

The electrochemical formation of a Ni(III)-EDTA (EDTA=ethylenediaminetetra-acetate) precipitate on a Pt electrode is observed. This precipitate can be reduced without dissolution. The electrochemical properties of this precipitate are analysed and compared with those of other tervalent nickel complexes.
