Abstract

Infant exposure to ketoconazole in human milk was calculated to be 0.4% on average (maximum 1.4%) of those extracted from therapeutic doses given directly to infants. Potential risks of adverse reactions from this low exposure level seem to be outweighed by the benefits of breast-feeding.
