N2 - This paper describes an active method for investigation of tools and of methods for structure behavior control under seismic loads. This method includes creation and testing of structure models and analysis of results. To implement this method, a Library of Structural Elements and Library of Antiseismic Devises have been created by the authors in Simulink, an environment for model-based design of dynamic systems. The libraries are developed basing on the analysis of the general aspects in seismic protection really applied in modern building structures in conformity to classifications of the international standards specifications as well according to scientific and technical publications of manufacturing firms. Creating various structure models using the originally developed laboratory libraries is a simple process. The Simulink toolbox allows the following: creation of model that visually reflects the real physical processes in the structure; simplicity of model creating; possibility of visualization of any parameter of model functioning, possibility of quick and convenient change of parameters characterizing the model. The process of investigation is based on visualization of dynamic processes with representation and measurement of structural behaviour parameters and the dependences of these parameters on type and parameters of structure and antiseismic devises. The Simulink models for different types of passive control systems were created by authors and application of them for creation and testing mathematical models of investigated structure is presented.
