Abstract

Methyl radicals react with Pt 0-NPs suspended in aqueous solutions in fast reactions. The major product is stable methyl coated Pt 0-NPs, (Pt 0-NPs)-(CH 3) n. C 2H 6, C 2H 4 and some polymerization products are also formed (see scheme).
