Abstract

Abstract. A rare anomaly of acardiac fetus is presented in which the diagnosis was made by ultrasonography, in the 20th week of pregnancy. This is, to our knowledge, the first report of such a phenomenon in the literature. This anomaly is said to have an incidence of one in 34 600 births (1) and is possible only in multiple pregnancies, mostly in twins (4). This is the eleventh reported case in a triplet pregnancy. 1985 Acta Obstet Gynecol Scand
