N2 - Many kinds of micro actuators have been proposed is the past 20 years. However, in many of these actuators the forces are too weak to move other objects. In this paper we propose a conceptual design for a powerful hydraulic micro actuator that provides a two degrees of freedom planner motion, using two hydraulic pumps and two semi-flexible spherical pressure vessels. The actuator provides micro positioning mechanism using standard hydraulic pumps, and therefore the mechanism is a cost effective, accurate and powerful positioning solution for micro actuators.
