The writer Asher Barash (1952-1888) was known as a poet, literary critic, editor and translator. Like other prominent artists of his time, such as H.N. Bialik, Yaakov Fichman, Leah Goldberg, and others, who wrote for children and youth, Barash also wrote for children and youth. These works were published in newspapers such as 'Haaretz for children', 'Ben Artzi', 'Davar' and 'Mishmar for children'. Apart from original works he wrote and published for children and teenagers, he also edited classical works from foreign languages and translated them, for example from English, French and Russian.Hebrew literature is mentioned as a central area in the development of the cultural center in Eretz Israel from 1910 with the immigration of Brenner and his group and later Bialik. The characteristics of Zionist ideology formed the desired basis for the principles of writing for children. According to them, the new Jew is supposed to live anew society and live in it according to moral standards established by the prophets.In this article I will seek to review Barash's works for children according to works that were published in the mentioned journals, which were published in Eretz-Israel in the fourth and fifth decade of the twentieth century. I will examine ways of designing in his writing, and I will seek to evaluate Barash's contribution to the Hebrew children's literature that was written in the Jewish Yishuv
