הדרשה המשכילית 'כרמי' מאת הסופר והמשכיל הנודע ברוך מטראני מובאת לדפוס לראשונה במהדורה מוערת דו לשונית בעברית ובלאדינו. הדרשה 'כרמי' במהדורה שנדונה במאמר תורמת תרומה חשובה לתולדות הלאומיות וההשכלה באימפריה העות'תמאנית של המאה ה-19 .
