ملخص

This research investigates the connection between intrapreneurial activity and employee performance via the influence of three support types: organizational support, intra-organizational social capital (ISC), and personal social capital (PSC). A paper-based survey was distributed to 617 employees. The results show that intrapreneurship has a positive connection with employee performance, suggesting that higher intrapreneurship activity leads to increased worker performance. Organizational support was positively linked with intrapreneurship, specifically with tolerance for risk taking and negatively with managerial support. Organizational support, personal social capital (SC) and intra-organizational social capital were also connected indirectly with employee performance through intrapreneurial activities. The results of the current study extend former findings suggesting that intrapreneurship has an affirmative effect on employee performance in addition to an organizational benefit. However, to actualize intrapreneurial ventures employees need to leverage their organizational support and their network ties inside and outside the organization.
