ملخص
The mechanism of dehalogenation was investigated in reactions between alkyl radicals and metal powders immersed in aqueous solutions. Radicals were obtained in the presence of an iron powder using radiochemical techniques. It was demonstrated that radicals enter into relatively fast reactions with metallic particles immersed in aqueous solutions and also in solutions of other solvents. It was stated that the variety of mechanisms responsible for the decomposition of the intermediate products formed could be significant in catalytic processes.
