ملخص

The spectrum of Cu-H⁺(aq), formed via Cu⁺ + H → Cu-H⁺(aq) in aqueous solutions, is reported. In neutral solutions it decomposes via Cu-H⁺(aq) + H₂O → Cu²⁺(aq) + H₂ + OH⁻(aq) with a rate of 4 × 10³ s⁻¹. The properties of Cu-H⁺(aq) are discussed and compared with those of similar Cu^II-R compounds.
