ملخص

This paper describes a practical methodology for implementing work-study techniques across the globe. The approach is based on capturing scenarios from the work site in a digital format, communicating the package to a distant analyst and using advanced work analysis tools. In today's rapid-paced globalization, the described methodology addresses the need to quantitatively study distant work sites and develop time standards quickly. The process of remote work measurement is outlined with an algorithm detailing how to implement it. The methodology was tested on five case studies from two industries using MOST (Maynard Operations Sequence Technique) in parallel to a digital video player, equipped to support work-analysts' needs when conducting remote studies. The results show that the proposed approach cuts costs for work measurement by shortening the study period and eliminating the analyst's need to travel to the work site.
