ملخص
A study is proposed to investigate the feasibility of building a communications satellite (ISRASAT) in Israel. Many of the communication needs of the State both civilian and military could be satisfied by such a satellite. It is suggested that at a cost of less then 125 million a satellite could be built and launched (by the Space Shuttle or Arianne rocket), in less than five years and could earn back the initial investment cost in less then five years. The project itself would advance science and technology in Israel, and serve as catalyst to draw the best Jewish minds in the world to Israel.
